You don’t need to hit the trail or the treadmill to get in more steps!

In this all-steps workout from SilverSneakers LIVE instructor Sims Corbett, you’ll get your blood flowing and heart rate up—and make significant headway toward your daily step goal.

Follow along for a short-and-sweet workout, or once you’ve gotten the hang of it, repeat as many times as you’d like for a longer sweat session.

How the Quick, Effective All-Steps Workout Works

To get moving, all you need is yourself and some open floor space. If you’d like support during any of the exercises, set up near a wall or keep a chair nearby. It’s also helpful to have water. Take breaks as needed throughout the workout to stay hydrated.

To keep tabs on your effort, use a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the hardest. You can ramp up or dial down as you need, but in general you shouldn’t push any higher than 7. As you move, keep breathing, and prioritize good walking form. Keep your core braced and torso tall.

As always, safety is key. The exercises here may be different or more advanced than those you’ll experience in a SilverSneakers class. If you have a chronic condition, an injury, or balance issues, talk to your doctor about how you can exercise safely.
