This fun, 30-minute workout is a perfect blend of cardio, strength, and flexibility.
What to Expect in This 30-Minute Sampler
Fresh Start 30-Minute Workout provides a well-rounded workout that combines three of our most popular SilverSneakers LIVE classes. In just 30 minutes, you’ll get an intro to strength training, give your body a little stretch and get your heart pumping.
We’ll kick things off with 10 minutes of cardio, where you’ll get your heart rate up and start to feel energized. The exercises are designed to be gentle yet effective, and we use a chair for extra support. This ensures you can safely perform the cardio movements at your own pace, even if you’re still getting used to exercising. If you love the cardio segment of the sampler, you’ll love SilverSneakers Walk Strong (Express), Walking for Wellness and Cardio Mix.
In the next segment, we focus on strengthening the upper body with light weights. For most participants, 3 to 8 pounds works well, but you can adjust based on your personal comfort and fitness level. The chair also provides stability, making it easier to perform each move without worrying about balance. If you want to get stronger and increase muscular strength and stamina, you’ll want to check out SilverSneakers Seated Strength (Express), Stronger Now and Strength and Sculpt (Express).
Then, we’ll finish up the workout with a full-body stretch. To help you relax and recover, we’ll transition to a seated position for a gentle cool-down that targets all major muscle groups. If you want to explore more stretching, we recommend trying SilverSneakers Gentle Stretch (Express), Mobility Flow or Active Stretch (Express).
